Memory of the legendary broadcaster, Otunba Olatunbosun Abe popularly known as ‘Hinpele O’ will linger for a long time in the history of Ijesaland because of the way he projected the dialect and promoted the unity of the land on radio
The provost of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Diocese of Ilesa South, cathedral Church of Holy Trinity, Omofe, Ilesa , very reverend Enitan Olajide stated this at the funeral service of the veteran presenter at the Cathedral.
Very reverend Olajide said Otunba Olatunbosun Abe was not just a freelancer but a public commentator who promoted cultural and moral values, as well as, unity among the people of Ijesaland through his dialectical program, ‘Hinpele o'.
Challenging the people in attendance to make positive impact on their immediate and remote environments through their God given talents , the provost remarked that the vacuum created by his death in the broadcast industry would be difficult to fill
Very reverend Olajide also emphasized that death was not a respecter of Fame, wealth or nobility , hence everybody should prepare for the inevitability.
Speaking on the person of his father, the first child, Funso Olatunbosun eulogized Hinpele o , saying he was an example of a good and industrious father who never coveted what belonged to others.
Also speaking the immediate younger brother to the late iconic broadcaster, Mr Kunle Olatunbosun described his brother as a frank talker who never pretended at all, but would rather say thing the way it appeared to him .
The funeral service had in attendance media guru including the former Director General of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Mr Wale Idowu, General Manager, Uniq FM, Otunba Jare Ayo Martins, Assistant Director Marketing , Gold Fm, Mrs Kemi Oni, Isaac Haastrup, chief Afolabi Igbaroola , Oladimeji Lasore, Abiodun Aponjolosun and host of others.
