One person has been killed in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, following an attack by Hoodlums on motorcycle.
Radio Nigeria gathered that , two men were riding a motorcycle through Orita Elelede, near Asoje Junction, Osogbo, when they were chased by the gang and eventually attacked.
According to Eyewitness account one of the victims, identified as Kazeem Oyewole, was killed on the spot, while another motorcyclist narrowly escaped the scene ,after sustaining machete injuries.
The deceased is said to be a personal assistant to a chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW, Kazeem Oyewale, popularly known as "Asiri Eniba".
As at The time of filing in this report, Police operatives were patrolling the area to prevent a possible reprisal attack .
Meanwhile,the Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Mr. Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed that officers had been deployed to the scene immediately the report was received to maintain law and order.
Mr. Ojelabi however noted that the command had not received a formal briefing from officers who could
confirm if anyone died.
