Federal government has released money for the commencement of construction works at the proposed site of the Institute of Domestic Security, Osun State.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola disclosed this while paying a courtesy call on the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran
Ogbeni Aregbesola said his ministry has secured monetary allocation for the take off of construction of structural facilities at the Institute of Domestic Security sited at Irogbo Ijesa in Atakumosa East Local Government Area.
"The institute will be used as a training facility for members of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Nigerian Correctional Service".
According to him his ministry is also building a correctional services centre big enough to accommodate at Ilobu in 3 thousand inmates Atakumosa West Local Government.
He also listed the Federal Fire Service Training School with its temporary site at Holy Trinity primary School as part of his achievements in Ijesaland as a Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.
He hinted that the Ilesa Passport Front and Production Centre of the Nigeria Immigration Service would not only save the applicants of the stress of traveling to Lagos for passport, it would boost the economy of the host community.
He urged the people of Ijesaland to guard the facility jealously .
The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, oba Adekunle Aromolaran in his response, thanked the Ogbeni Aregbesola for the display exemplary love for the land and prayed that his would continue to be characterized with landmark successes.
In a vote of thanks , the Oba Odo of Ilesa, High Chief Busuyi Gbadamosi eulogized the minister and described him a patriotic son of Ijesaland.
